Inbound DND Now Supported in Workflows

How It Works

Gold Star Pro has expanded Do Not Disturb automation. You can now automate DND settings for inbound communications, not just outbound. This solves a long standing issue where unwanted incoming calls were creating noise, missed opportunities or workflow disruptions with no automated way to filter them.

The update adds direction control to both the Contact DND trigger and the Enable or Disable DND action. This means you can choose whether a workflow should apply DND to inbound, outbound or both directions. Inbound DND applies to all incoming channels, including calls and SMS.

Existing workflow setups remain unchanged since all previous DND configurations defaulted to Outbound.


How to Use

  1. Open any workflow and add the Contact DND trigger or the Enable or Disable DND action.

  2. In the settings panel, choose the direction: Inbound, Outbound or All.

  3. Save.

  4. The new DND state will instantly reflect on the contact’s DND tab.

You can use this to block spam calls, manage specific contact states, or refine how incoming communication flows through your automations.

Why This Matters

Before this release, workflows could only control DND for outbound messages or calls. But many users needed protection from inbound noise: unwanted calls, spam, misdials and low quality leads. Now, you can automate rules that filter or block inbound communication before it ever reaches your team.

This update helps by:

• Reducing spam or junk calls that waste time.
• Allowing workflows to set DND states based on behavior or tags.
• Preventing false opportunities created by accidental or unwanted inbound calls.
• Giving finer control over communication direction for more accurate automations.

Inbound and outbound DND can now work together to create cleaner, more predictable workflow behavior.
